Hepatitis Advicates kenya joined The Ministry of Health, through NASCOP, and other government agencies, partners, and community representatives, in reviewing the 2018 Viral Hepatitis guidelines to Standard Operating Manual This will aee Kenya launch policy documents to guide the prevention,care and management of this disease among the general, key and vulnerable population The members ensured the communuty startegies are included in the SOM in efforts to strengthen prevention, testing, treatment, and care for viral hepatitis among the targeted population groups. Viral Hepatitis is a major public health threat in the country, contributing heavily to morbidity and even mortality . Despite the availability of vaccines, challenges such as limited capacity among healthcare workers , low vaccination coverage, and inadequate screening still persists . In response, these manuals seeks to bridge these gaps by providing clear guidance for healthcare providers and stakeholders at all levels to enhance prevention, testing, treatment and care for all populations. Hepatitis advicacy group , affirms the community commitment to eliminating Hepatitis in the country.
